Joannie Hollis-Smith

Staff Advocate

Joannie has a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Murray State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan.  In 2021, after 28 years as a special education teacher, Joannie retired from teaching and became a CASA volunteer.  She joined the staff as a Staff Advocate in 2022.  Joannie has a passion for serving in Christian missions, music and ministry and especially feels called to work with children.  Joannie and her husband, Scott have 3 grown sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 2 fur babies and their first new grandbaby.  When she has free time, she loves to travel and spend time with her family.
